세기말에 미국 대통령으로

탈냉전 동서화합 이끌었노라

불의의 침략자 후세인을 붙잡아

전범 재판에 부쳐 평화 그렸노라

 

독일 통일의 헬무트 콜 총리와

같은 길에서 손 흔들며 웃었노라

적국 대통령들과 형제애를 나눠 

동서화합의 아버지가 되었노라

 

짧았던 재임 4년 지구상 어디에나

통일 나무 심고 평화의 물 뿌렸노라

내 못다한 미국 사랑의 물뿌리개를

아들 부시에 맡겨 어깨 두드렸노라

 

나는 부족하고 동분서주 달렸지만

내 아내 바버라로 지혜로운 내조로

자식들이 생각한 가장 좋은 아버지

역대 최장수의 대통령이 되었노라

with my wife Barbara wise in her help

자식들이 생각한 가장 좋은 아버지

the best father their children thought

I became the longevity president ever
